The historic Irvington-Broadway area is filled with large, beautifully preserved homes, enhanced by mature trees, that have characterized this sought-after neighborhood for more than 100 years. The area is a designated Historic District, the largest in Oregon, because of its variety and high-quality, early 20th Century residential architecture. Walking through the neighborhood is a lesson in history with Queen Anne, Arts and Crafts, Craftsman, Colonial Revival, Prairie Style and Bungalow homes.

The Irvington neighborhood’s southern border includes a wide assortment of restaurants, bars, coffee houses, personal service establishments, among a series of boutique shops. While Irvington’s northern border is primarily residential, there are high-end, luxury businesses and retailers frequented by the locals. On Irvington’s east and west sides reside two large parks, and in between a unique and attractive collection of historic homes.

Irvington is an ideal location for families, especially those in need of a strategic location if commuting to work is an issue. Irvington and Broadway are located near major freeway ramps, including the I-84 and I-5. Portland’s TriMet regularly runs bus schedules to and from downtown, and the MAX light rail train is only blocks away from Irvington’s Southernmost boundary, at Lloyd Center Mall. For those driving, it’s less than 10 minutes to get to downtown Portland.

This community is very close to the Broadway bridge to get to downtown or to the Pearl District in minutes.
